Introduction:
"The latest installment in the award-winning series, Sniper Elite 5 offers unparalleled sniping, tactical third-person combat and an enhanced kill cam. Fight your way across the most immersive maps yet, with many real-world locations captured in stunning detail, and an improved traversal system that lets you explore more of them than ever before.

France, 1944 - As part of a covert US Rangers operation to weaken the Atlantikwall fortifications along the coast of Brittany, elite marksman Karl Fairburne makes contact with the French Resistance. Soon they uncover a secret Nazi project that threatens to end the war before the Allies can even invade Europe: Operation Kraken." - xbox.com

Sniper Elite 5 is the newest World War II third-person shooter developed by Rebellion. Taking place chronologically between Sniper Elite 4 (1943) and Sniper Elite V2 (1945), it follows OSS agent Karl Fairburne before and after the D-Day invasion in 1944 as he attempts to uncover, with the help of the French Resistance, a secret Nazi plot called Operation Kraken.

The game features 9 expansive non-linear missions, playable solo or online in two-player co-op, each with numerous objectives and collectibles. In addition to the campaign, there is a horde-like mode called Survival, where you are tasked with defending command posts from waves of enemies, and online competitive multiplayer with four game modes ranging from Free-For-All to a four-team squad match. Lastly, new to the series is Invasion mode, where an enemy sniper can invade your campaign in an attempt to eliminate you, unless you find and kill them first.

Each campaign mission has 3 stars: Optional Objectives, Complete the Mission, and Kill List. Completing the mission and optional objectives unlocks achievements, while each mission offers a challenge to kill a targeted officer in a certain way to unlock weapons.

The game includes many cumulative achievements which require a lot of grinding, but luckily they are tracked with the console’s achievement tracker. A new medal system replaces the Service Record statistics from the previous games so you can track all your progress in-game as well.

For XBA’s coverage of this game, including a review by Richard Walker, refer to THIS LINK.

Co-op/Online:
While you can play the entire game in two-player co-op (and four-player Survival), there are no achievements this time for doing so. But, if you need a hand, feel free to post in the Official XBA Friend and Co-op Finder thread.

“Save Game” Method:
A feature in Sniper Elite 5 is that the game saves progress towards achievements instantly. This means that you can save at a certain point in the game (for example, before completing an objective or killing enemies), perform the action, then reload that save and do it all over again. Each time you perform the action, it saves. So if you want to grind out XP or kills, save right before the action and keep reloading as desired. This method is especially useful if you’ve completed all game modes but still have to make progress towards cumulative achievements, so it is recommended that you do this for mopping up anything you have left.

Note that if you're playing in co-op, the second player cannot save.

Campaign (First Playthrough) [+/- 27 achievements]:
The campaign consists of 8 missions. These can be done either solo or online in two-player co-op. It is recommended that you do at least two playthroughs; one on a lower difficulty and one on ‘Authentic’ difficulty. You should be obtaining all of the campaign collectibles, completing all of the optional objectives and unlocking all of the mission-specific and in-level achievements on a lower difficulty, whether it’s your first or subsequent playthrough. Your ‘Authentic’ playthrough should only be for completing the primary objectives (see next step).

If playing in co-op, both players will get the mission completion (8), difficulty (1), optional objective (1) and collectible (5) achievements (if you happen to collect everything), but for the mission-specific (8) and in-level (4) achievements, most are unlocked only for the player who performs the action. Refer to those achievements for more information.

Note: For the workbench collectibles, to earn medal and achievement progression, you must interact with the workbench yourself. Plus, interacting with it unlocks attachments for weapons, which can be beneficial.

It is not necessary to play 100% stealth on a lower difficulty. Often enemies are unaware of your presence even when standing next to them. On the flip side, they can have extremely good accuracy with an MP-40 from 100 meters away. The important thing is you have fun.

Campaign (‘Authentic’ Playthrough) [1 achievement]:
In your previous playthrough(s), you should have unlocked all of the story-related achievements, completed all of the optional objectives and obtained all of the campaign collectibles, as well as unlocked most or all of the mission-specific achievements. For this playthrough, you should be playing on ‘Authentic’ difficulty and just concentrate on completing the primary objectives for each mission. This difficulty is much harder as it disables the HUD completely, objectives do not appear on the map or on screen, enemies are stronger, you take more damage, there is no icon above tagged enemies, you can’t target focus, you can’t zoom with your scope or binoculars and there is considerable bullet drop and factoring wind. It is recommended that you play this with a co-op partner and stick together as much as possible. Play as stealthily as possible and try not to engage the enemy head on.

For completing the game on ‘Authentic’, you will unlock Best of the Best (90G). In addition, if and when you die, you can restart your checkpoint, so creating manual saves is rather unnecessary but still recommended. You can always reload an auto save or just restart the checkpoint to continue. Good luck!

‘Authentic’ Exploit Patched - As of June 27, 2022, the ‘Authentic’ exploit does not work anymore as it has been patched out. Refer to Best of the Best (90G) for more information.

Collectibles/Optional Objectives/Kill Challenges:
There are 152 collectibles in the game, 19 in each of the 8 missions. There are five types; each one with its own achievement. As you collect them, they are saved immediately and if playing in co-op, each player gets credit.

Perhaps the most important collectible are the workbenches. There are three in each mission, one for each type of weapon, and interacting with them unlocks weapon attachments, useful in becoming more stealthy and effective.

In addition to the collectibles, each mission contains optional objectives that are not required to complete the mission, but awards XP for completing them. They involve such actions as neutralizing radio communications, gathering intel, or destroying anti-air guns, to name a few. Completing all 16 optional objectives will unlock No Stone Unturned (15G).

Finally, each mission has an objective to kill a specific officer. While killing them outright awards XP, if you accomplish each challenge by killing them is a specific way, such as by an explosion or poison, they unlock weapons which are required for the “Master of…” and Master-at-arms (30G) achievements.

Invasion [2 achievements]:
Invasion Mode is new to the series. If you have it enabled, another person can invade your campaign, whether you’re playing solo or co-op, and attempt to kill you (and your partner). There is one achievement for killing the invader and one achievement for the invader killing the player(s). Once the invader kills or is killed, the session ends.

The toggle to enable/disable this feature is in the ‘Options’ menu as well as the campaign select screen. This can’t be boosted with a friend; as the invader, it selects a random game based on your region. Refer to Opposing Force (15G) and Enemy at the Gates (15G) for more information.

Multiplayer [1 achievement]:
There is only one online multiplayer achievement in this game, Fields of Glory (15G), and it’s just for playing and completing a team-based game (No Scope, Team Match and Squad Match). Each mode’s default settings are 50 kills or 20 minutes, whichever comes first, but if you play a custom game, you can adjust these settings. Upon completion, win or lose, you will unlock this achievement.

Survival [1 achievement]:
There is only one Survival achievement, Shoot for the Moon (30G). In this mode, you must survive an onslaught of increasingly difficult enemies and enemy vehicles.  You are required to survive through Wave 12 (the final wave) on three maps; ‘Pest Control’, ‘Prime Real Estate’ and ‘Unwanted Guests’. It is recommended that you play this on ‘Civilian’ difficulty with at least one online partner (you can have up to four players total) to make this easier.

Mop Up [+/- 21 achievements]:
After completing the previous steps, you should have a handful of cumulative achievements left to unlock, such as mastering weapons, ranking up, and performing kills in a variety of ways. Refer to the guide below for insight on how to work on the remaining achievements.

Cumulative Farming Method - If you’ve unlocked the ‘Château Stables’ starting point in Mission 2, ‘Occupied Residence’, you can use the nearby workbench as a farming location for at least 13 achievements. This is done by knocking out nearby enemies and carrying them to the workbench, creating a save, then farming kills in a variety of ways. It is likely that the cumulative achievements will be the last ones you unlock, so this method makes it a lot easier to kill multiple enemies very quickly.

At the stables, there are six enemies. One of them carries a key which unlocks the armory where the workbench is. After knocking them out and carrying them to the workbench, just south of the stables is an area overlooking a river that has another 6-7 enemies. Proceed to knock them out then carry them to the workbench. You should now have 12-13 unconscious enemies lying on the floor around the workbench.

Using the workbench, select the weapon you want to get kills with then create a save. Proceed to kill the unconscious enemies then reload the save. Continue this procedure until the desired outcome. Change your weapon and repeat. Refer to the list below for the achievements that can be unlocked using this method.

If going for trap (TNT or teller mine) kills, TNT now has a 5-second fuse option, so set the timer then throw the TNT into the middle of a pile of bodies. Depending on how close the bodies are to each other, you may kill them all. Luckily, there’s TNT sitting on a crate just outside the armory door.

Note: When you change your weapon, remember to do it when the enemies are unconscious. If you make a mistake and overwrite the save with them already dead, then you need to start over again.

- Explosive Efficiency (15G) - Kill 3 on-foot soldiers with one grenade
- Master of Pistols (15G) - Obtain six pistol-related mastery medals
- Master of Secondaries (15G) - Obtain six secondary-related mastery medals
- Organ Grinder (15G) - Hit every organ at least once with a rifle
- Gunslinger (15G) - Kill 150 enemies with a Pistol
- Skirmisher (15G) - Kill 300 enemies with a Secondary Weapon
- Sharpshooter (15G) - Kill 350 enemies with a Rifle
- Set Europe Ablaze (15G) - Kill 50 enemies with traps
- Precision Is Key (15G) - Kill 150 enemies with any weapon while in Iron Sights
- Out of Scope (15G) - Kill 150 enemies with a rifle while in Iron Sights
- Lord of War (15G) - Get a kill with 20 different weapons
- Resourceful (15G) - Kill 50 enemy soldiers with Found Weapons
- Der Geist (15G) - Achieve 250 ghost kills

Target Führer - Wolf Mountain DLC

“Eliminate 'Herr Wolf' by infiltrating The Berghof, Hitler’s private mountain retreat in the Bavarian Alps. Enlisted as part of the British assassination plot called Operation Foxley, it is down to you to put an end to the Nazi leader’s reign of terror… by any means necessary.

While a bullet will suffice, HQ has tasked you with dispatching the alpha of the Third Reich as creatively as possible to bolster the Allied propaganda campaign. Set in a vast map crawling with Hitler’s heavily armed personal guard, and a slew of collectables for eagle-eyed sharp shooters, join the hunt in this hugely replayable campaign mission for 1-2 players.” - xbox.com

Overall Conclusion:
Sniper Elite 5 builds on the previous games in the series as an enjoyable and satisfying entry, even more so if you play it in co-op. Some of the achievements are a bit grindy, and most are a retread of Sniper Elite 4. Rebellion missed some opportunities by not creating achievements for some of the new features in the game, like knocking enemies unconscious, the new skill/medal/ribbon system, hiding bodies in bins, discovering all starting locations, using instinct, etc. Regardless of these faults, if you’re a fan of the series, this game will not disappoint.

  • Kill Möller with a rifle at a distance of 600 meters or more.

Note: If playing in co-op, this does not unlock for both players, so create a save beforehand.

You first need to equip your best scope. If you’ve been interacting with all the workbenches in the game, you should possess the 12x ‘M84’ scope for the SREM-1 and the 16x ‘A2 Optical’ scope for the M.1903; either one should be fine. Next, if you have it, select Match Grade ammo as it is good for distance targets. Finally, edit your rifle so it is stable as possible; the ‘Control’ stat. The greater it is, the less the rifle will wobble when you’re aiming, so use a combination of the other categories to raise it as much as possible.

When you are satisfied with your loadout, start the mission on any difficulty, but ‘Civilian’ is recommended since there’s no bullet drop or wind (and to get maximum magnification from your scope). When the mission starts, equip your binoculars and tag Möller as he exits the house. Here he will only be approximately 240 meters away.

Allow him to enter his vehicle and drive off. After about 40 seconds, his vehicle will pass behind a structure on the road at around 450 meters. At this point, create a save in case you miss the shot. When he emerges from behind the structure, press :1lt: to aim your rifle and wait until he is at least at 600 meters. Press :1rb: to empty your lungs and line up your shot. The moment you see the reticule turn red, press :1rt: to take the shot. If successful, you will see a kill cam. If not, shoot again or reload your save so no one is alerted.

If you manage to land a headshot and you haven’t unlocked it already, you will also unlock Brains of the Operation (15G).

Thanks to Maka91Productions for the video:
  • Reach rank 40.

To reach Rank 40, you need 545,000 XP. Ranks 1 through 35 require 13,000 XP each and ranks 36 through 40 require 20,000 XP each. You earn it by completing objectives, both main and optional, completing kill challenges and killing enemies in a variety of ways (organ shots, high ground, empty lung, sound masked, ghost, etc.). The campaign and Survival/multiplayer have separate XP progression, but reaching Rank 40 in either will unlock this achievement.

Ranking up will come with natural campaign progression, just as it does for all the cumulative achievements. By the time you’ve completed the campaign the first time, you will probably have reached Rank 25 or so (depending on if you played solo or in co-op). Replaying missions to farm the cumulative achievements and playing the campaign again on ‘Authentic’ difficulty should raise you to the required rank.

As mentioned above, playing Survival and multiplayer progresses separately from campaign, so unless you’re playing a lot in those modes, ranking up in campaign is the way to go.

A good way to grind out remaining XP is to use the “Save Game” method. Completing all optional objectives in a mission gives you 500-1000XP and you earn 1000-1500XP or more for completing all primary objectives. The best way to rank up is to save your game just before you complete the final optional or primary objective. Save your game, complete the objective, then wait for the XP to register on screen before reloading your save. The XP earned is instantly saved so you don’t lose it with each reload. Keep repeating this as long as needed to get to Rank 40.

To check your progress, press :1menu: then navigate to Service Record > Medals > General and look in the first section to see your medal progress.
  • Complete the campaign.

This is story related and cannot be missed. Complete all 9 missions of the campaign on any difficulty. This achievement is stackable if you play on ‘Authentic’ first, but it is not recommended.

There are five difficulties in this game: Civilian, Cadet, Sharpshooter, Sniper Elite, and Authentic. As the difficulties increase, the game becomes more challenging and the features become more limited. For example, bullet drop and wind become more of a factor as you raise the difficulty. Enemies become stronger, are more alert and unpredictable, and your ability to zoom in with your scope and binoculars decrease with each difficulty. Lastly, as the difficulty increases, so does your damage, so it’s best to play more stealthy on higher difficulties.

Refer to Best of the Best (90G) for more information.
  • Complete the entire campaign on Authentic difficulty.

‘Authentic’ difficulty is available right from the start. It is recommended that you do all your collectibles, kill challenges and optional objectives on a lower difficulty for reasons listed below.

Note: This difficulty is not recommended for your first playthrough. It is suggested playing through the missions a few times until you feel comfortable where everything is and how enemies react.

‘Authentic ‘difficulty is ‘Sniper Elite’ difficulty on steroids. It is extremely unforgiving, so play as stealthily as possible and try not to engage enemies head on. Use a suppressor, your suppressed (subsonic) ammo and sound masking whenever possible and kill only when you have to (enemies are more aware and will react to discovered bodies more aggressively). If you do kill and have the opportunity, hide it in foliage or a bin. You can also choose to knock out enemies, but still hide the bodies regardless.

Be especially wary of snipers as they are often not seen until it’s too late. If you get shot by one without knowing where it is, chances are you’ll be killed.

If playing with a co-op partner, try sticking together as much as possible and watch each other’s backs. Communicate with each other at all times.

    ‘Authentic’ difficulty features:

    • No HUD (ammo, health, stamina)
    • No radar/minimap
    • Objectives do not appear on the map or in the mission (they are still listed when you press :1lb: in the map)
    • Enemies are stronger and more aggressive, take more damage, do not show up on map
    • Enemies do not show their level of alertness (yellow or red)
    • You take more damage
    • While you can still tag (to see enemy distance and information), there is no icon above tagged enemies or objects
    • No empty lung or aim assist (pressing :1rb: holds your breath and steadies your aim but it does not zoom in, give you a reticle or give you a heart meter)
    • No zooming with scope or binoculars
    • Realistic bullet drop and crosswinds (you can still use :1left: and :1right: to adjust the range of your scope)
    • When playing co-op, friendly fire is on (take damage when shot by teammate)
Luckily, if and when you die, just like in Sniper Elite 4, you have the option to reload an auto save. They are quite generous on this difficulty, but you may have to replay a few minutes to get back to where you were. You also have the ability to create saves on this difficulty, so it is recommended you do so at regular intervals.
Completing the game on ‘Authentic’ unlocks this achievement and Liberté (90G) if it is not unlocked yet.

For ‘Authentic’ walkthrough videos for each mission, refer to THIS THREAD, courtesy of 360GameTV.

‘Authentic’ Exploit Patched - As of June 27, 2022, Rebellion patched out the ‘Authentic’ exploit, which allowed you to play through a mission on a lower difficulty, switch to ‘Authentic’, then complete the mission and get credit for the higher difficulty. This is no longer possible on digital copies of the game, but if you own it physically, potentially you can still use this method if you play the game offline and without any updates (which requires you to uninstall, reinstall, decline any updates, and play completely offline). Also, there is the possibility that if you saved your progress after changing the difficulty, that will still work as well. Neither of these has been verified by the author, but will amend the guide if and when it’s confirmed.
  • Complete 16 optional objectives.

There are 16 optional objectives divided among the first 8 main campaign missions (Mission 9 does not have any optional objectives or collectibles). Refer to the individual mission completion achievements for a list of all optional objectives.

For completing all the objectives in a mission, you earn a star at the end. If you miss any, you can replay the mission at any time in an attempt to complete anything you missed. Any optional objectives, kill challenges or collectibles obtained in previous playthroughs will remain completed.

Optional objectives are shown on the map as you progress through the mission rather than being revealed from the start. They are discovered through intel and collecting classified documents (for Burn after reading (15G)). They are then shown on the map as a blue diamond. The list of objectives on the map is toggled by pressing :1x:.

For videos on how to complete each optional objective, as well as all collectibles and kill challenges, refer to THIS THREAD, courtesy of 360GameTV.

Note: As DLC missions are released, the requirements for this achievement will not change. If you complete any optional objectives in those DLC missions, they will count towards this achievement, so this may unlock earlier than expected.
  • Win one Axis Invasion as an Invader.

    *This is an online achievement*

From the main menu, select Play > Axis Invasion. On the next screen, you can edit your loadout, assign unused skill points and customize your character. When you’re ready, search for a match. The game will search for any mission in the campaign, not just the ones you have already completed. This cannot be boosted with a friend; you must play against randoms.

When you enter the game, you will be placed somewhere in the mission, and you are tasked with locating and killing the Resistance sniper. Throughout the map, there are phones that, when used, will give you the general location of the sniper. A way to identify them is they will not act the same as A.I.; they will move quicker and with more purpose. Also, you can tag your allies which will help in locating the sniper as their tags disappear if they are killed.

As you are searching, remember that you only have once chance to kill the sniper. If you are killed by them, it’s game over and you need to search for a new match. Also, if you spend too much time camping, the game will tell you to move or you will be killed. Upon killing the sniper, by any means necessary, the achievement will unlock.

Note: If there are two Resistance snipers, you must kill them both. Also, if a German A.I. kills the sniper while you are playing in the Invasion, it counts as a win for you.
  • Defeat an invading Sniper Jager.

    *This is an online achievement*

Opposite from Opposing Force (15G), this one requires you to kill the invading sniper before they kill you. In order for someone to invade your game, you must allow Axis Invasions in your game. To turn it on or off, select Options from the main menu, then under the ‘Game’ heading you can toggle it. This can also be done while in a mission from the pause menu. This cannot be boosted with a friend; you must play against randoms.

Note: It is suggested that you allow cross play for a better connection to potential invaders. Turning it on will allow people with a different Xbox console or Windows 10 to join your game. It is in the same menu as ‘Allow Axis Invasion’.

While you’re playing a mission, if someone joins your game you, you will get a notification on screen that you have been invaded. Throughout the invasion, there will be a notification in the top-left corner of the screen. Now it’s just a matter of locating and killing the invader. As with the other invasion achievement, you can use phones to determine their general location. Also, watch for enemies that move differently from the A.I. And, as with Opposing Force (15G), camping too long will result in your death. Once you kill the invader with any weapon, the achievement will unlock.

If you are playing in co-op, the person that kills the invader gets the achievement.
  • Join and finish one team-based PVP match.

    *This is an online achievement*

This requires you to create or join one public or private match and complete it. The achievement unlocks whether you win or lose.

Note: If hosting a private match, you can change the time and kill limit and the achievement will still unlock.

There are four multiplayer modes, but Free-For-All does not count as it is not team-based.

Main Menu > Play > Multiplayer

    • No Cross (50 kill limit/20 minutes) - team based; there is an impassible area in the middle of the map, kill the opposing team, sides switch halfway through the match
    • Free-For-All (50 kill limit/20 minutes) - kill anyone
    • Team Match (50 kill limit/20 minutes) - 4v4 team based; kill the opposing team
    • Squad Match (50 kill limit/20 minutes) - 4v4v4v4 team based; kill the opposing teams
Note: If you happen to create or join a match then everyone leaves, the match does not end, so you can wait for someone else to join or quit the match. If you decide to stay and no one joins and the time limit ends in a tie score, there will be a 3-minute Overtime period. After that, Sudden Death will be instituted with an unlimited time limit.
  • Complete a mission, excluding the "Loose Ends" mission, in any difficulty without healing.

It is possible that you’ll unlock this without even trying.  It is recommended that you do this on Citizen or Cadet difficulty as playing on a higher difficulty would just make more work for yourself.

The trick to this achievement is to try and stay in cover and not to engage the enemy directly so you don’t get injured. Use sound masking wherever possible and your suppressor on your rifle so enemies will have trouble finding you. If you think it will cause issues, stay away from optional objectives as they will just make the mission longer. If you’ve been injured, it would be best to expose yourself to be killed so you can restart the checkpoint at full health. As long as you don’t use any bandages or medkits on any mission besides Mission 9, ‘Loose Ends’, the achievement will still unlock.
  • Hit every organ at least once with a rifle.

    There are 8 organs:

    1. Eye
    2. Heart
    3. Intestines
    4. Kidney
    5. Liver
    6. Lungs
    7. Stomach
    8. Testicles
Note: Body, head and limb shots do not count for this achievement as they are not organs.

When zooming in on an enemy, pressing :1rb: or pressing in :1ls: to hold your breath and steady your aim will make shooting a specific area easier. On higher difficulties, you need to account for bullet drop and wind, so this is easier on a lower difficulty and on enemies that are standing still as opposed to walking.

This will likely unlock naturally while playing through the different game modes, but if you want to get this out of the way sooner, find an easy unsuspecting target in the campaign and create a save. Your first opportunity to farm this on Mission 1 is when Karl emerges from the first workbench and first sees the radar tower. There is a sniper at approximately 360 meters just below the radar and two enemies near the structure closer to you. Create a save after tagging these enemies then proceed to shoot them in every location listed above, reloading after you’ve killed them all. Getting shots in specific organs might take some trial and error, as shooting someone in the stomach might trigger an intestine shot, and vice versa.

Or, you can use the farming method outlined in the ‘Mop Up’ section in the roadmap since all the enemies will be unconscious.

To check your progress, press :1menu: then navigate to Service Record > Medals > General and look under the ‘Combat’ heading to see your medal progress.  It doesn’t list specific organs, just that there are ‘8’, so you’ll have to remember what organs you’ve previously hit (or write them down).
  • Make a tank shoot and destroy another enemy vehicle.

Note: If playing in co-op, this does not unlock for both players.

For this achievement, you are required to lure a tank into shooting another enemy vehicle. There are a couple of notable missions on which this can be attempted. Note that this achievement is finicky and may not unlock after fulfilling the requirements. Make sure you create a save before attempting in case it doesn't. It’s also best to do this on the lowest difficulty, ‘Civilian’, as it should not kill you if you are too close to the exploding vehicle.

The first location is in Mission 5, ‘Festung Guernsey’. There is a tank in a field next to a road to the northeast of the default starting point. On occasion, vehicles drive along the road, so when one does, stop it by either shooting at it or by walking in the road. Make sure that the vehicle does not stop behind the tall bushes because the tank will not or cannot shoot through them. Get the tank’s attention then run behind the vehicle and the tank should shoot it.

This is shown at [7:38] in 360GameTV’s 'Mission 5' collectible video.

The second location is in Mission 7, ‘Secret Weapons’. There is a crossroads just to the northeast of the default starting point (where the barbed wire barrier is). In the field on the north side of the barbed wire is a tank and vehicles drive to the crossroads from the south. As the vehicles approach, shoot at the tank to get its attention then stop the vehicles in the road. The tank will start to move, so have a vehicle between you and it so it shoots the vehicle.

Thanks to Trophygamers for the video (Mission 7):
  • Obtain six pistol-related mastery medals.

You are required to perform 50 ghost kills with each of the pistols listed below. A ‘ghost kill’ is when the enemy is completely unaware or suspicious (yellow) but not alerted (red). Both unlocked and found pistols progress towards this, but the found pistol must be the ‘vanilla’ version; if it is silenced, scoped or powerful it will not count.

    • M1911 - unlocked by default
    • Welrod - unlocked by default
    • MK VI Revolver - complete Mission 2, ‘Occupied Residence

  • Obtain six secondary-related mastery medals.

You are required to perform 150 kills with each of the secondary weapons listed below. Both unlocked and found secondary weapons progress towards this, but the found secondary weapon must be the ‘vanilla’ version; if it is silenced, scoped or powerful it will not count.

    • M1A1 Gov. - unlocked by default
    • Welgun SMG - unlocked by default
    • Machine Pist. 40 - complete kill challenge in Mission 1, ‘The Atlantic Wall
    • Machine Pist. 44 - complete kill challenge in Mission 4, ‘War Factory
    • Type 100 - complete kill challenge in Mission 5, ‘Festung Guernsey

To check your progress, press :1menu: then navigate to Service Record > Medals > Weapons and Items and look under the ‘Master of Secondaries’ heading to see your medal progress for each secondary weapon.
  • Obtain six rifle-related mastery medals.

You are required to perform 50 headshot kills with a distance of over 100 meters for each with each of the rifles listed below. Both unlocked and found rifles progress towards this, but the found rifle must be the ‘vanilla’ version; if it is silenced, scoped or powerful it will not count. Best of luck consistently scoring headshots from 100+ meters away with just iron sights.

    • M.1903 - unlocked by default
    • SREM-1 - unlocked by default
    • Karabiner 98 - complete kill challenge in Mission 2, ‘Occupied Residence
    • Gewehr 1943 - complete Mission 3, ‘Spy Academy
    • M1A Carbine - complete Mission 5, ‘Festung Guernsey
    • RSC 1918 - complete kill challenge in Mission 7, ‘Secret Weapons
Unfortunately, the farming method outlined in the 'Mop Up' section of the roadmap doesn't work for rifles as you need to get a headshot from 100+ meters away. A good spot to farm this is at the beginning of Mission 3, ‘Spy Academy’. Building on the solution in The Long Game (15G), mark as many enemies as you can (about 10-12) then create a save. Using the rifle you need to master, proceed to headshot as many enemies as possible then keep reloading the save until you get 50 headshots. Your results will vary, but I was able to get approximately 5-7 headshots per reload, depending on the rifle.

The reason this is a good spot is because it’s at the very beginning of the mission, so you can just keep selecting this mission with the rifle you need to master.

To check your progress, press :1menu: then navigate to Service Record > Medals > Weapons and Items and look under the ‘Master of Rifles’ heading to see your medal progress for each rifle.
  • Become the Master of each weapon.

To unlock this, you need to fulfill the requirements of each “Master of…” achievement. After the third one unlocks, this will also unlock. Refer to those achievements for more information.

Note: If using a found weapon for these achievements, they must be the 'vanilla' version; silenced, scoped and powerful weapons will not count.
  • Kill 150 enemies with a Pistol.

The pistol is an underutilized weapon but can be very useful in tight situations. A first in the series, the M1911, which is unlocked by default, has a suppressor attachment already available and equipped, making it more powerful than and just as silent as the Welrod (which has been the standard suppressed pistol in previous games). To unlock this achievement, you need to cumulatively kill 150 enemies with any combination of the pistols listed above in Master of Pistols (15G) throughout all game modes.

Refer to the ‘Mop Up’ section in the roadmap for a farming method to make this go a lot quicker.

To check your progress, press :1menu: then navigate to Service Record > Medals > Weapons and Items and look in the first section to see your medal progress.

Note: For Master of Pistols (15G), you are required to perform 50 ghost kills with each of the six pistols listed above, so this will unlock naturally while you are progressing towards that.
  • Kill 300 enemies with a Secondary Weapon.

Your secondary weapon is a sub-machine gun and is mainly used in situations where a rifle is not suitable. If you have unlocked the attachment, you can equip a suppressor so your weapon is virtually silent (they are unlocked by finding the SMG workbenches in each level). To unlock this achievement, you need to cumulatively kill 300 enemies with any combination of the secondary weapons listed above in Master of Secondaries (15G) throughout all game modes.

Refer to the ‘Mop Up’ section in the roadmap for a farming method to make this go a lot quicker.

To check your progress, press :1menu: then navigate to Service Record > Medals > Weapons and Items and look in the first section to see your medal progress.

Note: For Master of Secondaries (15G), you are required to perform 150 kills with each of the six secondary weapons listed above, so this will unlock naturally while you are progressing towards that.
  • Kill 350 enemies with a Rifle.

Your rifle is the main weapon of a sniper. They come in different varieties (bolt-action vs. semi-automatic) and have different attributes. To unlock this achievement you need to cumulatively kill 350 enemies with any combination of the rifles listed above in Master of Rifles (15G) throughout all game modes.

Refer to the ‘Mop Up’ section in the roadmap for a farming method to make this go a lot quicker.

To check your progress, press :1menu: then navigate to Service Record > Medals > Weapons and Items and look in the first section to see your medal progress.

Note: For Master of Rifles (15G), you are required to perform 50 headshot kills from at least 100 meters away with each of the six rifles listed above, so this will unlock naturally while you are progressing towards that.
  • Total kill distance of 100000 meters.

The game measures distance in meters and this is cumulative in all game modes. You will likely not have the distance by the time you complete the campaign for the first time.

If you’ve completed the campaign and still need distance kills, a good strategy is to find and mark a target(s) hundreds of meters away (the farther the better) then save your game. With your scoped rifle, perform the kill(s) then keep reloading as long as desired. The standard scope magnification is 8x (the Gewehr is 6x), so anything over 450-500 meters will be difficult to kill with one shot, but more powerful magnifications can be unlocked by completing missions and interacting with rifle workbenches throughout the campaign. The more powerful the magnification, the farther you can successfully shoot and kill a target with one or two shots.

A good spot to farm this is at the beginning of Mission 3, ‘Spy Academy’. Playing on ‘Civilian’ difficulty (so there's no bullet drop or wind) and using the default starting point, 'Beaumont Marshland', move along the path until you see the fortress, but do not slide down the small hill. There are three snipers overlooking the bridge that are roughly 350-400 meters away each. There are also two closer enemies on the beach at approximately 135-180 meters away (there are more if you search for them but these are the quickest to kill). Mark them with your binoculars then create a save. After they are killed, reload your save. If you kill all five, you will get roughly 1400 meters.

Since the location is at the beginning of the mission, you can also work on headshots for Master of Rifles (15G) as well as use the airplane flying overhead for sound masking for As Quiet as a Mouse (15G).
  • Kill 50 enemies with traps.

Schu-mines, teller mines and TNT are considered traps, but schu-mines are non-lethal so they won’t work for this achievement. You can either set a teller mine on a road in the path of an oncoming vehicle or throw TNT at the feet of an enemy(s) (you can set a fuse or shoot it) and wait for them to explode. Do this 50 times in any game mode to unlock the achievement.

Refer to the ‘Mop Up’ section in the roadmap for a farming method to make this go a lot quicker.

To check your progress, press :1menu: then navigate to Service Record > Medals > Weapons and Items and look in the first section to see your medal progress.
  • Kill 150 enemies with any weapon while in Iron Sights.

Iron sights is first-person view, a feature new to this game. You can toggle your aim by pressing :1a: while holding :1lt: which will switch between first- and third-person views. Simply kill 150 enemies in this view.

For this achievement, any weapon counts; pistol, secondary weapon or rifle. If you are using your rifle, it also progresses towards Out of Scope (15G).

Refer to the ‘Mop Up’ section in the roadmap for a farming method to make this go a lot quicker.

To check your progress, press :1menu: then navigate to Service Record > Medals > Weapons and Items and look in the first section to see your medal progress.
  • Kill 150 enemies with a rifle while in Iron Sights.

Iron sights is first-person view, a feature new to this game. You can toggle your aim by pressing :1a: while holding :1lt: which will switch between first- and third-person views. Simply kill 150 enemies in this view.

For this achievement, only rifles count, but this also progresses towards Precision Is Key (15G). In order to use iron sights on a rifle, you must edit the attachments and select 'iron sights' as toggling your aim to over-the-shoulder does not count. Iron sights is not available on all rifles.

Refer to the ‘Mop Up’ section in the roadmap for a farming method to make this go a lot quicker.

To check your progress, press :1menu: then navigate to Service Record > Medals > Weapons and Items and look in the first section to see your medal progress.
  • Kill 20 soldiers using booby traps.

When you kill an enemy, you have the option to plant a booby trap on the body for someone else to discover. After you’ve killed someone, stand over them and hold :1rb: when prompted to plant an explosive (grenade, TNT or teller mine). You can do this only if you have explosives in your inventory.

To get someone else to discover the body, you can do one of two things. First, if someone is nearby, you can throw a bottle or whistle to get their attention and lure them into discovering the body, or second, you can pick up the dead body and carry it to where other enemies are patrolling, drop/throw the body and hide. You can then either wait for them to naturally discover the body or you can again throw bottles to lure them closer. Once they walk over to investigate and stand next to the body, they will be killed by the booby trap and the achievement will unlock.

A good method to get this out of the way is to create a save just before the body is discovered. Once they are, just reload that save and keep repeating until the achievement has unlocked.

To check your progress, press :1menu: then navigate to Service Record > Medals > Weapons and Items and look in the first section to see your medal progress.
  • Kill 3 on-foot soldiers with one grenade.

As the description says, you need to kill three on-foot enemies with one grenade. Blowing up a vehicle with enemies inside will not count.

There will be many opportunities to earn this throughout the campaign as there are many scripted sections where there will be three enemies in close proximity. You can also coax enemies that are close to one another into gathering together by whistling or with bottles.

Note: In my experience, this did not work by changing your grenade to a sticky grenade. I had to use a regular grenade to get the achievement. Feel free to try either.

Your first opportunity occurs on Mission 1, ‘The Atlantic Wall’. As you are approaching the radio tower, there is an elaborate trench system around the front of it. On the left side while looking at the radar, there is an AA gun with three enemies looking over the trench wall. In the trench, approach the area from the east, crouching and sneaking around the right side of the AA gun. At this point, create a save in case you don’t get the achievement then throw a grenade at the middle enemy and all three should be killed. If not, reload your save and try again.

Another mission you can try this on is Mission 8, ‘Rubble and Ruin’. Using the default starting point (City Limits), run down the street and after a few seconds you will happen upon a courtyard with a statue in the middle. There will be one enemy when you turn the corner then three enemies on the far side of the statue. Silently kill the one enemy then throw a grenade into the group of enemies and they should all be killed. Once again, create a save before throwing the grenade in case all three aren’t killed.

Thanks to Trophy Tom for the video:
  • Get a kill with 20 different weapons.

For this achievement, you need to get a kill with every base weapon in the game. There are six rifles, six secondary weapons, six pistols and three heavy weapons (the Panzerfaust, PzB Anti Tank and MG42 [mounted or picked up]). For a list of the weapons, refer to the “Master of…” achievements. Once you get a kill with a weapon, it saves automatically. You must kill an enemy cleanly, not destroy a truck it is sitting in, shoot an environmental explosive or even shoot the grenade on their belt; they must be killed by your bullet.

All of these weapons do not have to be unlocked to get a kill with them as you can find them within each mission, either from caches, lying on a crate or looted from dead enemies.

Refer to the ‘Mop Up’ section in the roadmap for a farming method to make this go a lot quicker.

To check your progress, press :1menu: then navigate to Service Record > Medals > Weapons and Items and look in the first section to see your medal progress. It doesn’t list specific weapons, just that there are ‘20’, so you’ll have to remember what weapons you’ve used (or write them down).
  • Get a testicle shot with a rifle from a distance of 100 meters or more.

This may be earned through natural progression, but you just need to make sure that your target is at least 100 meters away. It is suggested that you survey the area with binoculars and tag any enemies that are visible. Focusing on an enemy will reveal its distance in relation to you. Choose your target then create a save in case you don’t hit the correct area.

With your rifle, as you’re holding :1lt:, zoom in fully and aim for the crotch area then press :1rb: to focus your shot. When the reticule turns red, take the shot. You do not need to see the x-ray cam; as long as it registers as a testicle shot, the achievement will unlock.

In my experience, the enemy needed to be facing me for it to register as a testicle shot. If you don’t hit the right organ, just reload your save or try on someone else.

Note: You will not have a reticule on ‘Authentic’ difficulty.
  • Kill 50 enemy soldiers with Found Weapons.

Found weapons are any weapon that is found within each mission, either from caches, lying on a crate or looted from dead enemies. Since they have limited ammo, simply pick it up and get as many kills with it as possible before it runs out of ammo. Repeat this process until the achievement unlocks.

Refer to the ‘Mop Up’ section in the roadmap for a farming method to make this go a lot quicker.

To check your progress, press :1menu: then navigate to Service Record > Medals > Weapons and Items and look in the first section to see your medal progress.
  • Achieve 250 ghost kills.

This may be earned through natural progression. A ‘ghost kill’ is a kill performed when the enemy is completely unaware or suspicious (yellow) but not alerted (red). Killing enemies by any means in this state will result in a ghost kill.

Most of the time you can walk up on unsuspecting enemies and melee kill them. Even if they are facing you, as long as their awareness doesn’t turn red, it should register as a ghost kill. If you find yourself in an area where you need to shoot a weapon, try using your suppressed pistol; if you kill an enemy and another finds them, unless they see you, killing that second enemy will also be a ghost kill. As long as you are not in full-fledged combat, you should be safe.

Refer to the ‘Mop Up’ section in the roadmap for a farming method to make this go a lot quicker.

To check your progress, press :1menu: then navigate to Service Record > Medals > General and look under the ‘Combat’ heading to see your medal progress.
  • Kill 50 enemies during a Sound Mask.

This may be earned through natural progression. Sound masking can occur in any number of ways; when a plane is flying overhead, a vehicle is driving past you or if you sabotage either a vehicle or generator.

When there is sound masking, sound waves will appear at the top-center of your screen. When that happens, any shot you take isn’t heard but the waves only last for a few seconds before they disappear. The sound masking returns every few seconds and repeats indefinitely, so continue to use it as long as there are enemies in the area.

Enemies can be fully alerted to your location, but if there is sound when you shoot and kill an enemy, it will count as being sound masked. If there are a lot of enemies in the area, you can create a save, kill your targets while sound masked, then reload the save and repeat.

A good method to get this out of the way is to create a save just before you kill an enemy(s) with sound masking. Once they are, just reload that save and keep repeating until the achievement has unlocked.

To check your progress, press :1menu: then navigate to Service Record > Medals > General and look under the ‘Combat’ heading to see your medal progress.
  • Perform 100 lethal takedowns.

A lethal takedown is when you are next to an enemy and press :1y: to kill them. They can be unaware or alerted to you; either will count. If they are unaware, it will count towards Der Geist (15G).

If you are playing on lower difficulties, if enemies are close to each other, you can just go from one to the other and kill them all with a takedown.

A good method to get this out of the way is to create a save just before you kill an enemy(s) with a takedown. Once they are, just reload that save and keep repeating until the achievement has unlocked.

To check your progress, press :1menu: then navigate to Service Record > Medals > General and look under the ‘Combat’ heading to see your medal progress.
  • While in Tall Grass, kill 50 soldiers.

Tall grass is everywhere in this game. When you walk through it while crouched, there will be a white outline around Karl. Karl may even make a comment about using it to your advantage. Any kills made while in this cover will earn progress towards this achievement; just make sure you remain crouched or prone.

As with many other cumulative achievements in the game, you can find a good spot with a clear sight to a few enemies then save your game. After the enemies are dead, just reload that save and keep repeating until the achievement has unlocked.

To check your progress, press :1menu: then navigate to Service Record > Medals > General and look under the ‘Combat’ heading to see your medal progress.
  • Collect 41 Personal letters.

Refer to Tinkerer (30G) for more information.

Note: As DLC missions are released, the requirements for this achievement will not change. If you obtain any personal letters in those DLC missions, they will count towards this achievement, so this may unlock earlier than expected.
  • Collect 39 classified documents.

Refer to Tinkerer (30G) for more information.

Note: As DLC missions are released, the requirements for this achievement will not change. If you obtain any classified documents in those DLC missions, they will count towards this achievement, so this may unlock earlier than expected.
  • Collect 24 Hidden Items.

Refer to Tinkerer (30G) for more information.

Note: As DLC missions are released, the requirements for this achievement will not change. If you obtain any hidden items in those DLC missions, they will count towards this achievement, so this may unlock earlier than expected.
  • Destroy 24 Dead-eye Targets.

Refer to Tinkerer (30G) for more information.

Note: As DLC missions are released, the requirements for this achievement will not change. If you destroy any dead-eye targets in those DLC missions, they will count towards this achievement, so this may unlock earlier than expected.
  • Interact with 24 workbenches.

There are 152 collectibles in the game, 19 in each of the 8 main missions (there are none in Mission 9, ‘Loose Ends’). They are divided into five different types: personal letters, classified documents, hidden items, dead-eye targets (stone eagles), and workbenches. They are saved as soon as they’re picked up, so if you happen to die, you do not need to collect them again. Also, if playing in co-op, both players get credit for each collectible.

Personal letters are often found on enemies, making them more difficult to locate if the enemy is on a patrol. Tagging them with binoculars will reveal if they are carrying anything. Some classified documents offer intel on mission objectives, found on desks, tacked to a wall or in safes, whereas hidden items are just trinkets and artifacts. Stone eagles are usually located at the tops of structures or along cliff sides. The most important collectible, however, are the workbenches. There are three in each mission, one for each type of weapon, and finding them unlocks attachments for that type of weapon and allow you to change your loadout mid-mission.

Note: For the workbench collectibles, to earn medal and achievement progression, you must interact with the workbench yourself. Plus, interacting with it unlocks attachments for weapons, which can be beneficial.

For individual mission videos showing the locations of all the collectibles, refer to THIS THREAD, courtesy of 360GameTV.

Note: As DLC missions are released, the requirements for this achievement will not change. If you interact with any workbenches in those DLC missions, unlike the other collectibles, they will not count towards this achievement. The reason why is unknown.
  • Destroy Möller's shiny new car.

Note: If playing in co-op, this does not unlock for both players, so create a save beforehand.

This is unlocked in Mission 2, ‘Occupied Residence’. When you finally reach the Château, there is a white car with two Nazi flags parked in its courtyard. Destroy the car by any means to unlock this achievement.

If you missed this while playing the mission the first time, and have unlocked all the starting positions, the closest starting point is ‘Château Stables’.

  • In Martressac, create an accident that destroys the train in the storage area.

Note: If playing in co-op, this does unlock for both players.

This is unlocked in Mission 4, ‘War Factory’. In the southwest part of the map is a tall crane on top of a building overlooking train tracks. There is a person inside its control room, and shooting them will cause the crane to malfunction and drop explosives onto a train below, which will unlock this achievement.

If you missed this while playing the mission the first time, and have unlocked all the starting positions, the closest starting point is ‘Trainyard Office’. From there, the crane is just a short distance away to the south.

  • Melee takedown each one of the three snipers guarding the bridge.

Note: If playing in co-op, this does unlock for both players.

This is unlocked in Mission 6, ‘Libération’. Along the western part of the map is a primary objective called ‘Investigate the Western Bridge’. Overlooking the bridge are three snipers. The first sniper is in the steeple of a church, the second is in a window on the top floor of a brick hotel, and the third is surveying the area from the attic of a house with a bombed-out roof.

Approaching the area from the south, from a safe distance, mark each sniper with your binoculars. Then, one by one, enter each structure and perform lethal takedowns on them. If playing on ‘Civilian’ difficulty, you shouldn’t have to worry about them or other enemies being alerted.

If you missed this while playing the mission the first time, and have unlocked all the starting positions, the closest starting point is ‘Riverside House’. This will start you just south of the western objective.

Thanks to Trophygamers for the video:
  • In Research Facility, find and destroy one of each type of vehicle present in this mission.

Note: If playing in co-op, this does not unlock for both players; each player needs to destroy the vehicles for themselves.

This is unlocked in Mission 7, ‘Secret Weapons’. Throughout this mission, you will see different types of vehicles around the map. When you encounter them, if they are driving around, make them stop on the road then proceed to destroy them however you can. For the tank, there are two stationed in the southern middle portion of the map. Tanks take a considerable amount of damage, so it helps greatly if you have armor-piercing rounds for all your weapons. Don’t squander them though as you have a limited supply. As for the gunboat, there is only one in the mission, and it is in the lower western part of the map.

When you look at a vehicle through your rifle scope, weak spots will flash red, so that’s where you want to shoot.

The six vehicles you need to destroy are:

    • Armored Car
    • Gunboat
    • Kübelwagen Car
    • Motorbike
    • Tank
    • Truck (Cargo, Covered, or Tanker)
  • Make the final shot in St Nazaire without using Empty Lung.

Note: If playing in co-op, this does not unlock for both players, so create a save beforehand.

This is unlocked in Mission 8, ‘Rubble and Ruin’. At the end of the mission, after running out of the U-boat pen, you realize that your sabotage did not work. Follow the yellow marker and climb up the ladder into a radio room. Peering out the vantage point overlooking the pen, the giant door will open, giving you a clear shot at the fuel tanks.

You must take this 275+ meter shot without pressing :1rb: or :1ls: to empty your lungs. Crouching or going prone for a couple of seconds before looking out the window and taking the shot will lower your heart rate faster to steady your shot, and having a rifle with at least an 8x magnification and playing on ‘Civilian’ difficulty (so there’s no bullet drop or wind) will help immensely.

Aim through your rifle scope at the dark grey control panel on center fuel tank, and once it’s in your sights, take the shot. If your shot is accurate, a cutscene will play of the base being destroyed and the achievement will unlock.
  • Kill Möller with a headshot.

Note: If playing in co-op, this does not unlock for both players, so create a save beforehand.

This is unlocked in Mission 9, ‘Loose Ends’. Before beginning the mission, you’ll want to edit your loadout.

You first need to equip your best scope. If you’ve been finding all the workbenches in the game, you should have the 12x ‘M84’ scope for the SREM-1 and the 16x ‘A2 Optical’ scope for the M.1903; either one will be fine.

When you are satisfied with your loadout, start the mission on any difficulty, but ‘Civilian’ is recommended since there’s no bullet drop or wind. When the mission starts, first create a save in case you don’t make the shot. Then, equip your binoculars and tag Möller as he exits the house. When he stops on the steps (he will be approximately 240 meters away), switch to your rifle, press :1lt: to aim and then :1rb: to empty your lungs. When you’re lined up with his head, press :1rt: to take the shot. If successful, you will see a kill cam. If not, try again or reload your save so no one is alerted.

Refer to the video in Can't Outrun A Bullet (30G) if you need assistance.
  • Kill Möller with a rifle, while in Iron Sights.

Note: If playing in co-op, this does not unlock for both players, so create a save beforehand.

This is unlocked in Mission 9, ‘Loose Ends’. Before beginning the mission, you’ll want to edit your loadout.

You first need to unequip your scope and select ‘Iron Sights’ in the ‘Sights’ category, which is available for the Gewehr 1943 and SREM-1.

When you are satisfied with your loadout, start the mission on any difficulty, but ‘Civilian’ is recommended since there’s no bullet drop or wind. When the mission starts, first create a save in case you don’t make the shot. Then, equip your binoculars and tag Möller as he exits the house. When he stops on the steps (he will be approximately 240 meters away), quickly switch to your rifle, press :1lt: to aim and it should already be lined up (make sure you’re in iron sights [first-person] and not over-the-shoulder [third-person]). Immediately press :1rt: to take the shot. If it hits him but doesn’t kill him, reload the save to try again.

If you manage to land a headshot, you’ll also unlock Brains of the Operation (15G).

Refer to the video in Can't Outrun A Bullet (30G) if you need assistance.
  • Complete three Survival missions.

*This is an online achievement if not playing solo*

There are three maps to this mode and completing them all is required for this achievement. This can be played solo or with up to three teammates. There are 12 waves in Survival, divided into four command posts. It is your basic horde-type mode where you must defend a command post and survive until all 12 waves have been completed. Capturing the command post does not equate to game over, but if everyone playing dies, it is.

You can play on any difficulty, but if you’re just out for the achievement, playing on ‘Civilian’ difficulty as it offers the least challenge. From the main menu, navigate to ‘Play’ then ‘Survival’. The three maps are ‘Pest Control’, ‘Prime Real Estate’ and ‘Unwanted Guests’.

Note: If you join a game already in progress and complete through Wave 12, it will count towards this achievement. When you are in the ‘Survival’ game mode, select ‘Browse Games’. You will be given a list of current games; how many players, the map and the difficulty. When you select one, before joining, it will show you which command post the game started on (Able, Baker, Charlie or Dog). If possible, try joining a game that’s already on the Dog command post on the difficulty desired and play the game to completion. If they've all started on Able, join a game to see how far along it is to determine if you want to stay or not.

    Notes about Survival:

    • Setting traps before a wave starts or during, especially around enemy entry points or along vehicle patrols, can be beneficial in thinning out the invading attackers. Set some traps around the perimeter of the command post as well.
    • When there are five enemies left in each wave, they are outlined and tagged on screen.
    • Every few waves there is a vehicle (tank or other armored vehicle). Depending on what difficulty you play on will determine how many vehicles appear. These must be destroyed in order for the wave to end.
    • If you go into a “down by not out” state, you can revive yourself provided you have medkits or bandages in your inventory. If you don’t and you’re playing solo, the game is over. If you are playing with teammates, they have a limited time to revive you, but if they don’t, you will respawn at the beginning of the next wave.
    • Bonus XP is awarded at the end of the wave if you successfully defend the command post. The enemies’ main objective is to capture that post. If you lose it, you cannot resupply and have to rely on searching dead bodies for supplies. The command post moves after every three waves.
  • Kill 50 soldiers with heavy weapons.

There are three base heavy weapons in the game, the Panzerfaust, the PzB Anti Tank and the MG42. Killing with either or all of these weapons will earn progress towards this achievement. They can be found in many of the missions, but are rarer than other weapons and have limited ammo.

Kills with the MG42 are counted whether it’s mounted or picked up and carried. They are usually found in emplacements or trenches and have a high rate of fire. The Panzerfaust and PzB Anti Tank are basically grenade launchers and are best used when multiple enemies are standing close to one another.

As with many other cumulative achievements in the game, save your game if you are in an ideal area with numerous enemies. Perform the kills, reload that save and keep repeating until the achievement has unlocked.

To check your progress, press :1menu: then navigate to Service Record > Medals > Weapons and Items and look in the first section to see your medal progress.

DLC: Target Fuhrer - Wolf Mountain (Store Link)

There are 8 achievements with a total of 165 points

  • Wolf Mountain - Kill Hitler 5 times.

When you finally have Hitler in your sights, before you kill him, save your game. That way, you can just reload it after each time you kill him. It doesn’t matter how he is killed, so you can get creative if you want.

In your reloads, try and shoot him in the testicles to unlock Das Familienjuwel (15G).
  • Wolf Mountain - Kill only Hitler and exfiltrate.

Refer to Alpha (30G) for more information.
  • Wolf Mountain - Kill Hitler at a distance of 300 meters or more.

This is best unlocked in a subsequent playthrough after you have unlocked the ‘Berghof Guardhouse’ starting point at the northeast part of the map which starts you much closer to the target. You should also attempt this on ‘Civilian’ difficulty.

Beginning from the ‘Berghof Guardhouse’ starting point, head down the road and stick to the left side. After a few meters, there will be a path that runs parallel to the road, with steps leading up to the road. Climb the stairs and eliminate the enemies in the area. Cross the road and go through a door and up a hill which leads to the main house. When you reach the house, there will be a wall with vines you can climb, so climb up to the balcony. Try to do this as stealthy as possible, because if the enemies are alerted, climbing to the balcony can be very difficult.

On the balcony, focus your view on the tea house, which is east of the main house. If you were quick enough to get to this position, Hitler’s entourage should just be arriving at the tea house. If he has already arrived and entered the building, you need to wait for him to exit.

He will be at approximately 320 meters while standing in front of the tea house, so as soon as you see him, create a save in case you miss your shot (or if you want to use this to kill him five times for Führerious Repetition (15G)). While he is walking away (or towards) his car, zoom in with your rifle scope as much as you can and press :1rb: to focus your shot. He doesn’t need to be killed with one shot as long as it’s over 300 meters away. If you successfully kill him, a medal and this achievement will unlock.
  • Wolf Mountain - Kill Hitler and exfiltrate without ever being detected.

Refer to Alpha (30G) for more information.
  • Alpha

    30

Wolf Mountain - Complete the mission on Authentic difficulty.

Note: This should be attempted with a suppressed rifle to make it easier to unlock Covert Elimination (30G) and Reich To The Point (15G) as well, but isn’t completely necessary provided you’re very careful after you make the shot. It is highly recommended, however, along with equipping subsonic ammo.

This is best unlocked in a subsequent playthrough after you have unlocked the ‘Berghof Guardhouse’ starting point at the northeast part of the map which starts you much closer to the target.

Beginning from the ‘Berghof Guardhouse’ starting point, head down the road and stick to the left side. After a few meters, there will be a path that runs parallel to the road, and at the end on the left side is a gate. Run through the gate and down the trail and you will approach the tea house from a distance. Hitler’s first stop on his itinerary is the tea house, and you will only need to wait a couple of minutes for him to arrive.

He will arrive in a white car with motorbike escorts. At this point, create a save just in case you get detected, then wait for him to exit the car. As he’s walking towards the tea house, aim for his head then take the shot (if playing on ‘Authentic’, you will not be able to zoom in nor get a reticule or slow your breathing when you focus your shot). In order to not be detected, you should only take one shot, so make it count. Once he’s killed, turn around and run back towards the gate.

Depending on if you used a suppressor and/or subsonic ammo, the enemies on the road might have heard the shot (yellow alert). If they have, be very careful when walking back to the start of the path, hiding behind boxes and the guard station to avoid being seen. Wait for any enemies to run past you then book it back to the exfiltration point, which is in the middle of the road next to your starting point. When you get there, press :1y: to exit the mission. This will at least unlock this achievement, Covert Elimination (30G) and Reich To The Point (15G).

‘Authentic’ Exploit Patched - As of June 27, 2022, the ‘Authentic’ exploit does not work anymore as it has been patched out. Refer to Best of the Best (90G) for more information.

Thanks to Trophygamers for the video:
  • Wolf Mountain - Complete the mission.

Karl Fairburne’s orders; infiltrate The Berghof perimeter, and end the war with one shot.

This is story related and cannot be missed.  This achievement will unlock after completing Mission 10, ‘Wolf Mountain’, on any difficulty playing solo or two-player co-op.

Note: Any collectibles obtained in this mission count towards the five collectible achievements in the main list except the workbenches.
  • Wolf Mountain - Complete the mission with a 2 star rating.

In order to receive a 2-star rating, you are required to both complete the mission and both optional objectives.

    Optional Objectives:

    1. Disable the Radio Equipment (2)
    2. Neutralize Anti-Air Guns (2)
The radio equipment is in two structures near the beginning of the mission. You have the option of either destroying the equipment in both structures or sabotaging the two suspension cables near the larger structure that are securing the tower which will then topple the tower.

For the anti-air guns, one is across the road to the northwest from the larger structure (where one of the radios is located) and the other is along the windy road to the east.

Note: Completing the two optional objectives in this mission count towards No Stone Unturned (15G).

  • Wolf Mountain - Kill Hitler with a testicle shot.

As you are working towards Führerious Repetition (15G), aim for his groin area then take the shot. If you are on target, you will get the ‘testicle shot’ kill notification, a medal, and this achievement.

This might take a couple of attempts based on his position. If shooting with iron sights isn’t working for whichever type of weapon you’re using, try looking through your rifle scope and focusing. In my experience, he needed to be facing me for it to register as a testicle shot.
